ग्वालियर। मध्य प्रदेश के ग्वालियर जिले के अतिरिक्त मुख्य न्यायिक दण्डाधिकारी महेंद्र सैनी ने पेड़ों की अवैध कटाई करने वाले आरोपीगण दौजी पुत्र मदई आदिवासी, रतिराम पुत्र परमू आदिवासी, सोनेराम पुत्र परमू आदिवासी, मोहन सिंह पुत्र मनफूल आदिवासी को धारा26(1)(च)भा0व.अधि.1927 में अरोपीगण को 6 माह का सश्रम कारावास की सजा एवं धारा 26(1)(ज) भा.व.अधि.1927 धारा 63 (त्र) भा. व. अधि. 1927 में सभी आरोपीगण को 10 माह का सश्रम कारावास की सजा सुनाई।
अभियोजन की ओर से पैरवी करने वाले सहायक जिला लोक अभियोजन अधिकारी अभिषेक सिरोठिया ग्वालियर ने घटना के बारे मे बताया कि दिनांक 10 अगस्त 2020 को वन चौकी मोहना के स्टाफ द्वारा वीट सिकरावली दक्षिण के क.क्र. 326 मे वीट भ्रमण के दौरान ईश्वर खो मंदिर के पास ग्राम पथरोठा के आदिवासी समाज के पुरूष व महिलायें वन भूमि मे स्थित पेडों की कटाई करते पये गये । समझाने व रोकने पर नही माने जिससे पेडों पर बने घोंसले व वनजीवों के आवासों को नष्ट किया एवं मुनारा तोड दिया ।
इन लोगों द्वारा पुन: 16 अगस्त को उसी जगह कटाई फिर से की गई जिसमें आरोपीगण को गिरफ्तार कर न्यायालय के समक्ष पेश किया आरोपीगण ने अपने कथनों में कटाई करना स्वीकार किया, अपराध की गंभीरता प्रकृति एवं प्रकरण की परिस्थितियों को दृष्टिगत रखते हुए अभियुक्तगण को सजा सुनाई गई।
बताया जाता है कि पिछले गरीब 10 सालों में पेड़ काटने के मामले को लेकर अब तक जमानत हो जाती थी लेकिन इस बार न्यायालय ने पेड़ काटने को बेहद गंभीर माना और आरोपियों को सजा सुनाई । खास बात यह है कि पहले से ही आरोपी जेल में बंद है।
