नई दिल्ली: प्रधान न्यायाधीश एनवी रमना ने बुधवार को कहा कि जेल में बंद महिलाओं को अक्सर  गंभीर पूर्वाग्रह, लांछन और भेदभाव का सामना करना पड़ता है तथा पुरुष कैदियों की भांति इन महिला कैदियों का समाज में फिर से एकीकरण सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कल्याणकारी राज्य के रूप में भारत का सेवाएं प्रदान करने का दायित्व बनता है. राष्ट्रीय विधिक सेवा प्राधिकरण (नाल्सा) के प्रधान संरक्षक प्रधान न्यायाधीश उसकी एक बैठक को संबोधित कर रहे थे जिसमें नवनियुक्त सदस्यों ने हिस्सा लिया.

प्रधान न्यायाधीश ने कहा, ‘कैद की सजा काट चुकीं महिलाओं को अक्सर गंभीर पूर्वाग्रह, लांछन एवं भेदभाव का सामना करना पड़ता है, जिससे उनका पुनर्वास एक कठिन चुनौती बन जाता है.’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘बतौर कल्याणकारी राज्य, महिला कैदियों को ऐसे कार्यक्रम एवं सेवाएं उपलब्ध कराना हमारा दायित्व है, जिससे उनका प्रभावी तरीके से पुरुषों के समान ही समाज में फिर से एकीकरण हो सके.’

सीजेआई रमना ने कहा कि समाज में महिला कैदियों के पुन: एकीकरण के लिए शिक्षा एवं व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षण में गैर भेदभावकारी पहुंच तथा गरिमामय एवं लाभकारी कार्य जैसे उपायों की जरूरत है.समाचार एजेंसी पीटीआई के मुताबिक, नाल्सा के वरिष्ठतम न्यायाधीश और कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष जस्टिस यूयू ललित ने नवनियुक्त केंद्रीय प्राधिकरण के सभी सदस्यों का परिचय कराया और 11 सितंबर को राष्ट्रीय लोक अदालत में पाई गईं ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धियों की सराहना की.

नाल्सा द्वारा न्यायिक प्रणाली पर दबाव कम करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि में, 33 लाख से अधिक लंबित और मुकदमेबाजी पूर्व मामलों में से 15 लाख से अधिक का निपटारा किया गया और शनिवार को 33 राज्यों और केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय लोक अदालतों में 2,281 करोड़ रुपये का पुरस्कार दिया गया.

जस्टिस ललित ने कहा कि महामारी प्रतिबंधों के कारण स्कूल बंद हैं और किशोर गृहों, अवलोकन गृहों और बाल गृहों में रहने वाले विभिन्न आयु समूहों के बच्चे एक अकल्पनीय स्थिति में हैं, जिसमें बच्चों को बुनियादी शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए केवल एक वीडियो मॉनिटर पर्याप्त नहीं है.
