अपने उद्बोधन को आगे बढ़ते हुए महंत जी ने कहा कि पौराणिक जी ने 200 से अधिक गाँवों में शिक्षा स्वास्थ्य के लिए काम किया और सामाजिक समरसता राजनीतिक चेतना जगाने के लिए कार्य किया।

इस अवसर पर आईटीएम विश्वविद्यालय के पत्रकारिता संकाय अध्यक्ष जयंत तोमर ने कहा कि पंडित गोपालकृष्ण पौराणिक गांधीजी के रचनात्मक आंदोलन के बड़े नायक थे। उन्होंने पत्रकारिता, ग्रामीण विकास, मानव विकास, दर्शन, राष्ट्रीय आंदोलन सहित विविध क्षेत्रों में महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किया। उनके लेखन एवं कार्यों को समाजहित में सरकार द्वारा व्यापक मान्यता दी जाकर उस पर शोध को प्रोत्साहित करना चाहिए। इससे समाज को एक नई और सार्थक दिशा मिलेगी।

इससे पूर्व अतिथियों एवं पौरणिक जी के परिजनों ने पंडितजी की प्रतिमा का माल्यार्पण कर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। इस अवसर पर ग्वालियर घराने की गायिका डॉ वीणा जोशी ने गांधी भजनों से स्वरांजलि अर्पित की। उनके साथ तबले पर डॉ विनय विन्दे एवं हारमोनियम पर भरत नायक ने साथ दिया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन पंडित गोपालकृष्ण पौराणिक शोध संस्थान के संदीप बंधु शर्मा ने किया।
